Financing Liposuction

It seems that in today’s society, one of the most important things that a person has to be, in order to be successful, is beautiful. If you doubt this for one minute, just take a second to do a little experiment with me.

Picture your current workplace. Now picture your boss and his favorite subordinate. Is the subordinate attractive or ugly? Odds are they are attractive (regardless of their competence or ability).

Here is another example. There was a news show a couple of years ago (it may have been 60 Minutes, but I truly don’t remember the name of the show). It showed two groups of people, one attractive, one average looking, who were soliciting contributions for some charity. The result of the study was that the attractive group was able to collect statistically more contributions than the average looking group. Surprised? We bet you aren’t.

Now, if you don’t feel that you are an attractive person because you are slightly overweight, liposuction may be the right cosmetic surgery procedure for you. Unfortunately, since this procedure is considered elective surgery, the insurance company will not pay for it. This means that if you want to have lipo performed, you will have to pay for it yourself.

To make matters worse, liposuction is not cheap, by any stretch of the imagination. Depending on where you live, this surgery can cost anywhere between $1.5K to $7.5K. If you are like most people, you simply don’t have this kind of money lying around the house or stuffed in a mattress (if you do, please let me know where you live J).

Because of this, there is a myriad of options available to finance your liposuction. These options include the traditional forms of payment, as well as some forms you may not have thought about.

The traditional forms of financing a liposuction including using your personal credit card (not a great idea when your interest rate is 23%) and using cash or a check (which you most likely don’t have funds to cover).

Cosmetic Surgery Loan

Luckily, some cosmetic surgery offices have developed payment plans to help their patients. Of course, the surgeon is going to want to verify that you meet several criteria before he or she extends this option to you. Mainly, the surgeon will focus on your credit score. If your credit score is above a certain threshold, you may be able to pursue this option.

If you surgeon doesn’t extend this option, there are numerous companies out there that focus exclusively on cosmetic surgery financing. Believe it or not, you can get a loan for your liposuction that only requires you to pay back the loan in $87 increments. It really doesn’t get any better than that.

Plastic Surgery Credit Card

The last option that we are going to discuss today is getting a credit card that focuses exclusively on plastic surgery.  Why should any sane person use a credit card with an absolutely high interest rate when they could use a credit card with a reasonable rate?  Obviously, it would be in your best interests to get the cosmetic surgery credit card.

As we have shown above, fairly or unfairly, depending on which side of the coin you are on, life really is easier if you are considered attractive.  If you are able to increase your attractiveness with a little cosmetic surgery, isn’t it worth it?
